FAQs

1. What Brand is it?

Double Black Off Road began as a result of frustration with the current state of the Jeep market back in 2007. Modifying a Jeep was unnecessarily expensive. We are offroad enthusiasts based in Melboourne, Australia who knew better.


2. Do we have installers for our products?

Our products in general are designed to be installed in your driveway. We can install your gear at our Moorabbin facility, we also have dealers Australia wide we can recommend.


3. Do we have a show room where goods are displayed/demonstrated?

We have a showroom and interactive demonstration area located at 17 of 150 Chesterville Rd, Moorabbin.  Our showroom is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.30pm.


4. Can I pick up the Item?

Pick up is available by appointment only, please contact us to arrange a time.


5. How soon will goods be dispatched once I place an order?

Once an order has been placed and PAID for, and the item is in stock, goods will generally be dispatched same or next business day. Delivery can take up to 5 business days depending on your location once your payment has cleared. Please note some payment methods can take 2 to 3 business days to reach our account.


6. Should the item arrive damaged?

Upon payment or invoicing of goods, legal ownership is transferred to the buyer. Double Black Off-Road will post your goods on your behalf or you can elect to use you own freighter. Should the item arrive in a damaged condition then you must in the first instance contact the transporter and Double Black Off-Road. We can then assist you in making a claim, but only once you have reported the damage.


7. What are our installation instructions?

Installation instructions are in the packaging with the item you purchase.  You can also access them under the Tech tab on our website.


8. What if the goods are faulty?

If you believe the goods are faulty, you should contact and return the item BACK TO US as soon as possible. Returns SHOULD BE SENT back to Melbourne and transport cost are the customer responsibility. All product returns must be 100% complete and contain all original manufacturer box and packaging materials, all accessories and documentation included with the original shipment.


9. What about refunds?

You can get a refund if:

  1. The product has a fault you could not have know about when you bought it.
  2. The product does not do the job as advertised on this site.
  3. The product is not as described
You cannot get a refund if:
  1. You can’t provide proof of purchase (a sale receipt). 
  2. There is nothing wrong with the goods, you have changed your mind.
  3. The goods were bought for someone else who doesn’t want them.
  4. If the part has been ordered specifically for your vehicle from overseas

Double Black Off-Road adheres to consumer affairs Vic and ACCC guide lines relating to the return of goods.


10. Can goods be exchanged?

Please choose goods carefully and ask as many questions as you need.  A 25% re-stocking fee will apply to all goods exchanged (unless faulty in which case there is no re-stocking fee)


11. How do I order?

Simply REGISTER and SIGN IN, then fill your SHOPPING CART with the goods you desire.  Once you have everything you need head to the check-out and pay via EFT, credit card or paypal.  Once payment is made and we have received cleared funds, goods will be posted.


12. How do I pay?

Payment can be made via EFT, Credit Card or Paypal (Please note Paypal & American Express has a 2.5% surcharge on invoice total)
